PT NetScan

RU EN

PT NetScan is developed by the PT ESC Threat Intelligence team at Positive Technologies. This system scans publicly available resources on the Internet, collects information about publicly accessible devices and services to identify potential vulnerabilities and misconfigurations of equipment, and assists system owners in protecting them.

Our Goals

We understand that scanning may raise questions, so:

  • Our mission is to operate transparently and securely for all Internet users.
  • We strive to improve the overall security of the Internet.
  • We help identify vulnerabilities in publicly accessible systems and inform owners of potential threats.
  • We collect statistical data and analyze current trends in the use of network technologies, devices, and software to create security reports.

What We DON'T Do

  • We do not exploit vulnerabilities.
  • The project does not engage in hacking or infiltrating companies' internal networks.
  • We do not collect personal data.

How We Conduct Scanning

Our scanners analyze only those devices and services that are publicly accessible on the Internet. We use widely known methods to identify available ports and services. The entire process is conducted unobtrusively and does not impact the performance of your systems.

Currently, we are scanning ports 80 and 443 (HTTP). You can recognize our scanners by the HTTP header:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; PT Security NetScan; +https://netscan.ptsecurity.tech/)

Feedback

We are always open to discussing the project, ready to answer your questions, and make necessary adjustments.

How to Exclude Your Resources from Scanning

If you want to exclude your IP addresses or subnets from the scanning area, please send a request via email specifying the relevant IP addresses. We will promptly add them to the exclusion list.
